Your Experience

Spend 9 to 10 hours exploring Wadi Rum by shared jeep, with sandboarding, lunch, and a sunset viewpoint, plus optional camel ride.

Getting started

You begin at the designated meeting point inside the Wadi Rum area, where your English-speaking guide and driver check you in. From here, you board a shared jeep that will take you into the UNESCO-listed Wadi Rum desert to start visiting the tour’s highlights.

Jeep touring and dune activities

What to expect

Once in the desert, your shared jeep moves between around 9 highlights across the Wadi Rum landscape, including areas that are only accessible with a Bedouin guide. The route is designed as a full 9 to 10 hour shared jeep tour of Wadi Rum, giving you time to explore valleys, rock formations, and wide open sand plains.

Features

• Transportation by shared jeep to sites around 9 highlights inside the UNESCO-listed Wadi Rum desert lets you experience the “Red Mars Desert” from open-air vantage points.
• You can try sandboarding on desert dunes, gliding down sandy slopes on a board as part of the daytime activities.
• Unlimited bottled water is available throughout the day so you can remain hydrated between stops.
• Bedouin tea is served during the tour, giving you a taste of local desert hospitality during one of the breaks.

Lunch and midday break

What to expect

Around the middle of the day, the pace slows so you can rest and refuel. The group pauses in a desert spot suitable for a longer stop, giving you time to eat, relax, and take in the surroundings.

Features

• One lunch during the tour is included, served during this extended break so you can recharge before continuing the jeep exploration.

Sunset viewpoint and late-afternoon experience

What to expect

As the afternoon progresses, the route shifts toward a chosen sunset viewpoint. Here you can watch the light change over the rock formations and sand, a calm ending to a full day of desert travel.

Features

• The sunset viewpoint is the final key stop of your 9 to 10 hour shared jeep tour of Wadi Rum, offering space to sit, take photos, or simply observe the colors of late afternoon.
• If you choose the "Shared 9-Hour Jeep Tour, Lunch, Sunset Viewpoint & Camel Ride" option, a camel ride during the tour is included and is scheduled at one of the stops before or after the main sunset viewing, so you can experience crossing part of the desert by camel.
• Pickup and drop-off at the meeting point are included, so after sunset you return by shared jeep to the same meeting location where your day began.
