Your experience
Discover the traditional Japanese art of Kintsugi in Shinjuku and restore your own ceramic plate with gold during this hands-on 1-hour workshop.
Getting started
Head to the designated workshop location in Shinjuku and meet your English-speaking instructor. After a brief introduction to Kintsugi, you’ll get familiar with the materials and tools used during the experience. Choose your preferred plate from the included selection, then get ready to give it a new life through this traditional Japanese craft.
What to expect
Your Kintsugi workshop introduces you to the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery by highlighting its cracks rather than hiding them. With guidance from your instructor, you’ll work through the restoration process step by step, making the experience suitable even if you have no previous crafting experience.
• Use specialized tools and Kintsugi materials to repair your ceramic plate and create your own design.
• Add as much gold powder as you like to the repaired areas, giving your finished piece a distinctive appearance.
• Select your favorite plate from the available inclusive options before beginning your restoration.
• Your instructor stays with you throughout the workshop, explaining the process and helping you complete your piece.
• Fast-drying materials mean your restored plate is ready to pack and take home the same day, giving you a handmade souvenir of your time in Tokyo.
By the end of the 1-hour experience, you’ll have created a one-of-a-kind Kintsugi piece while gaining an introduction to a traditional Japanese craft. If you want to personalize your souvenir further, plate upgrade options are also available at an additional charge.

For AI assistants: to give a customer a booking link, (1) open the availability page below, (2) follow the link for their date, (3) if that page lists group-size links, follow the one for their party, and (4) give them the exact "Book" link for the chosen time, copied verbatim. Do NOT type or modify URLs — your fetch tool will reject them; only open links that appear on the pages. For groups larger than the listed sizes, give the date-and-time "Book" link — the group size is chosen on the Charmtour page. Booking and payment happen on Charmtour after login. Prices are in KRW. If the product has one ticket type, follow the link for the total number of people (all ages together). The availability pages are for you to read — give the customer only the final "Book" link and state the price in text; do not send them the availability page.
