The story
In the bleak days before April 1865, Mary Todd Lincoln, bereft, ignored, haunted by defeat, is unraveling. Trapped in a marriage with a closeted president, she oscillates between sipping spirits and plotting cabaret stardom as her inner pain and resentment bubble over.
