What to expect

Niagara Takes Flight

Located near the brink of the Horseshoe Falls, Niagara Takes Flight is Ontario’s first flying-theatre experience inside the Table Rock Centre. The complete visit lasts approximately 35 minutes, including the pre-show experience that leads into the six-minute flying-theatre ride.

Features

• Timed entry to the Niagara Takes Flight flying theatre ride lets you join the attraction queue within a designated 15-minute window, helping you plan your day around Niagara Falls. The ride portion lasts approximately six minutes and uses motion-synchronised cinematic footage to recreate the sensation of flight.
• Access to the pre-show experience covering 13,000 years of history is included, with four audiovisual rooms exploring the region from the last ice age through Indigenous heritage, Niagara’s post-contact history, cultural milestones, and its growth into a globally recognised destination.
• Your ticket includes gondola-style suspended seating in front of a 17-metre-wide, 180-degree domed screen, where wind, mist, and scent effects combine with your feet hanging above the screen to simulate soaring through the Niagara River corridor.
• The film showcases Niagara’s landscapes and landmarks across all four seasons, shifting from daytime to night as you virtually fly over the Horseshoe Falls, Niagara Whirlpool, Niagara Parks Power Station, Landscape of Nations Memorial, and Old Fort Erie using drone footage captured along a 56-kilometre journey.
• This is a self-guided experience, so you can absorb the audiovisual storytelling in each preshow room at your own pace before taking your seat on the flying-theatre ride, without following a fixed guided schedule.
• Access to partially accessible facilities is provided, with the preshow fully accessible and the ride available to guests who can transfer from a mobility device to a flying theatre seat, subject to a minimum height of 100 cm and maximum weight of 300 lb.
• An accessible room with a flattened version of the film is available for non-transfer guests after they complete the preshow, allowing them to view the content without motion while remaining within the main attraction flow.
• Limited wheelchairs are available for daily loan onsite at the Table Rock Welcome Centre on a first-come, first-served basis, and limited seating is offered in key preshow areas for guests who prefer not to stand for 3 to 6 minutes at a time.
