The story
Set in late 18th-century America, Hamilton follows Alexander Hamilton, an ambitious immigrant from the West Indies who rises to power as George Washington’s right-hand man. Through battles, political rivalries, and personal struggles, the musical charts his journey from obscurity to shaping a nation. Alongside figures like Aaron Burr, Thomas Jefferson, and Eliza Schuyler, Hamilton’s legacy is forged in revolution and tested by betrayal. But how far will ambition carry him before it all comes crashing down?
