What to expect

Águas Belas natural pools

Águas Belas sits where the Malcozinhado River meets the Atlantic Ocean, forming a calm beach landscape of fine white sand framed by coconut palms. You arrive at this stretch of Ceará’s East Coast in time to experience its changing scenery with the tide.

Features

• During low tide, observe how small islands and large natural pools of warm water emerge at Águas Belas, creating a rarely seen setting shaped by the mix of river and sea. The multi-toned green and blue waters become especially visible where the Malcozinhado River flows into the ocean.
• This day trip to Águas Belas natural pools is led by an expert guide, who helps you make the most of the shifting tide conditions and points out the areas where the pools form. Hotel pickup is included so you can focus on the beach and natural pools rather than transport logistics.

Lacemaking community

The itinerary includes time in a lacemaking community, where local craft is part of everyday life. This stop contrasts with the shoreline, giving you a look at inland traditions linked to the region.

Features

• Watch how lacemaking is practiced within the community and notice the techniques that define this local tradition. The visit highlights how this craft is rooted in the daily rhythm of Cascavel’s residents.
• Your expert guide facilitates the visit to the lacemaking community, providing context for the craft’s role in the area. As part of the same day trip, hotel pickup and guided commentary are already arranged, so you can move from the coast to the community smoothly.

Sugar mill

A visit to a sugar mill completes the day, connecting the landscape of Águas Belas and nearby communities with regional production. This stop adds an economic and cultural layer to what you have seen along the coast and in the village.

Features

• At the sugar mill, you see another side of Cascavel, focused on processing and work rather than shoreline views. The facility visit helps link the rural setting to the wider story of Ceará’s East Coast.
• The sugar mill visit is included in your guided tour with hotel pickup, alongside the Águas Belas natural pools and lacemaking community. Your expert guide keeps the day structured so each stop, including the mill, fits into a single coordinated day trip, while meals, drinks, optional tours, and tickets remain excluded.
