The story

Nestled on the fringe of Ubud, COMO Uma Ubud overlooks the breathtaking Tjampuhan Valley, a mere hour's drive from Denpasar International Airport. This tranquil retreat occupies three hectares, hidden amongst paddy fields carved into the hillsides, surrounded by coconut palms and banyan trees. The Oos River flows below, with a majestic mountain rising on one side. The vibrant town of Ubud, with its numerous shops, galleries, and local restaurants, is a short five-minute drive or a leisurely 20-minute walk away. The heart of the hotel features a clean and simple design, encompassing the lobby, a 25-meter pool, and a welcoming bar. Lush pathways wind between tall, verdant walls, leading to secluded villas, each boasting a private walled tropical garden. The main living space and bathroom are separated by an open-air area, with carved panels that invite the sights and scents of the forest indoors. The Uma Suite offers similar luxury without a private pool. The exclusive COMO Suite, situated on the southern edge of the resort, features the most impressive private pool and a dedicated treatment area. In-room facilities are designed for ultimate comfort. The open-air bathrooms include separate baths and showers, while other amenities include flat-screen TVs with satellite channels, DVD players, personal safes, yoga mats, and minibars.

Getting there — The resort is located right in Sanggingan, Ubud. It is situated very close to the centre of Ubud, close to traditional performance, museums, souvenir shops and restaurants with wide selection of cuisines. Ubud Palace and the Monkey Forest are both just a short drive away, while Gianyar is about 20 minutes away. Bali International Airport is about an hour away by car.
