Athens: Greek Lucky Charm Workshop in the Inner Garden

This hands-on Greek lucky charm workshop takes place in a dedicated art space with access to an inner garden. Across the session, you learn about the history and symbolism of the Greek “mati” or evil eye and then create your own charm to take home.

Features

• Introduction to Greek lucky charm symbolism sets the tone, as your host explains the meaning behind the Greek “mati” (evil eye) and other traditional motifs before you start crafting.
• All crafting materials are provided for you, including ceramic beads, olive wood elements, natural stones, cotton cord, and decorative details, so you can focus entirely on designing your charm.
• Guidance from your host throughout the workshop helps you choose and combine materials, adjust your design, and complete each step, even if you have no prior crafting experience.
• As you work, herbal tea, spirits, and snacks are served, giving you time to pause between steps and consider how each element reflects the protective role of a Greek lucky charm.
• At the end of the session, you finish a handmade charm to take home as a meaningful souvenir, created from ceramic beads, olive wood, natural stones, and cotton cord.
• The experience runs in an open group workshop or a private group workshop format, depending on the option you select at booking, while still including all crafting materials and your completed charm.
