Your experience

Watch tango and Argentine folklore come together in an intimate San Telmo venue, with live dancers, musicians, vocalists, and a drink included.

Getting started

Head to Aljibe in Buenos Aires' historic San Telmo neighborhood and present your voucher with a valid photo ID as instructed on your final voucher. Once inside, settle into the conventillo-style venue before the performance begins. Depending on your selected option, round-trip transfers and preferential seating may also be included.

What to expect

Tango on stage

The performance centers on tango, the dance and musical tradition closely associated with Buenos Aires and the neighborhoods where it developed.

• Watch professional dance couples perform tango through tightly coordinated footwork, close-partner choreography, and different interpretations of the style.
• Live musicians accompany the dancers rather than relying solely on recorded music, keeping the performance rooted in tango's musical tradition.
• Vocal performances add another layer to the show, pairing song with the instrumental and dance sections.
• The intimate layout keeps the stage close to the audience, making smaller movements and exchanges between performers easier to follow.

Argentine folklore

The program moves beyond tango to introduce regional Argentine folklore, broadening the evening from a Buenos Aires dance show into a look at traditions from elsewhere in the country.

• Folklore performances bring regional rhythms and movement styles into the program alongside tango.
• Traditional elements such as boleadoras feature in the folklore sections, creating a distinct contrast with tango's partner choreography.
• Changes in music, movement, and performance style separate the folklore segments from the tango numbers while keeping them within the same show.

Aljibe's San Telmo setting

Aljibe is set in San Telmo, one of the Buenos Aires neighborhoods most closely associated with the city's historic character.

• The venue occupies a restored conventillo-style setting, referencing the communal tenement buildings once characteristic of Buenos Aires.
• Its compact arrangement keeps tables and seating close to the performance area rather than separating the audience across a large auditorium.
• A drink of your choice is included with your ticket, so you can enjoy it while watching the performance.

Wrapping up

You can tailor the evening with the available ticket options. Add a 3-course gourmet dinner to combine the performance with a full meal, select preferential seating for closer views of the stage, or choose round-trip transfers to simplify your journey to and from the venue.
