Getting started

Begin by making your way from your local Airlie Beach accommodation, where free round-trip transfers take you to the drop zone. On arrival, you check in with your mobile ticket and valid photo ID, then complete registration. You are escorted to the jump zone area to meet your professional tandem instructor and get ready for your full safety briefing and gear setup.

This is your base for the entire experience, from gearing up to landing back on solid ground. Plan to allow 3–4 hours here from check-in to the end of your jump, as timings can shift with weather conditions.

• Your experience starts with a full safety briefing where your professional tandem instructor explains the jump sequence, body position, and landing procedure, then fits you with all required gear. Comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes are recommended, and sandals, high heels, or boots with hooks are not permitted.
• Tandem skydive options include jumps from 8,000 ft, 8,500 ft, or 15,000 ft, as per the option selected at booking. The 15,000 ft option offers the highest jump with up to 60 seconds of freefall, while the 8,000 ft first-time option provides about 10–20 seconds of freefall to ease you into the experience.
• Depending on your chosen option, you may enjoy a 20-minute plane ride over the Whitsundays before exit, giving you aerial views of the Airlie Beach coastline and islands as you climb to altitude.
• Every skydive is completed in tandem with a professional tandem instructor and includes personal accident insurance through the Australian Parachute Federation, along with a 3-month membership of the Australian Parachute Federation.
• Your booking includes an escort to the jump zone, full safety briefing and gear, a tandem skydive over Airlie Beach, and round-trip transfers between your local Airlie Beach accommodation and the drop zone. You also receive a personalised skydive certificate at the end of your jump.
• Upgrade choices at booking cover specific height and media options: highest jump with up to 60-second freefall, first-time jump with 10–20-second freefall, 20-minute plane ride over the Whitsundays, Handicam photos, or Handicam photos and video, all as per the option selected.

Wrapping up

After landing back at the drop zone and collecting your personalised skydive certificate, you can review and, if you wish, purchase any additional photos and video footage that are not already included in your chosen Handicam option. Once you are ready, your free return transfer takes you back to your local Airlie Beach accommodation.
